Behind the camera

I photograph weddings, maternity and personal brands across the UK. My style is gentle and documentary-led: I'd rather wait for something real than arrange something perfect. Warm tones, natural light, and very little direction.

Most people tell me they hate being photographed. That's usually where we begin — slowly, with conversation, until the camera stops feeling like the point. Feeling comfortable is not a nice extra; it's the whole reason the photographs look the way they do.

I fell in love with photography because of what it holds onto. A hand on a back, a laugh mid-sentence, the way the light fell on an ordinary afternoon. Years later, those are the frames people return to.
